Trump Goes to Mexico and Everyone Is Bored

I’m back from lunch and it’s time to catch up on Donald Trump’s visit to Mexico. How did it go?

Apparently the answer is “meh.” After all his big talk about Mexico paying for his wall, Trump didn’t bring it up once he got face to face with Enrique Peña Nieto. I gather he didn’t bring up much of anything else either. Even Twitter seemed bored by the whole thing.

On the bright side, Trump didn’t say anything too barbarous, which is being hailed by Republicans as Trump acting “presidential.” The soft bigotry of low expectations comes to the rescue once again.

Canada (a country to our north) has a prime minister (a sort of president-type person) who is very handsome (sexually appealing). People like (like like) him because he says charming things and is liberal.

So anyway Justin Trudeau was visiting some chalkboard factory or something and a reporter jokingly asked him to explain quantum computing thinking that har har no way could the attractive liberal president type person answer this question but them BAM he did answer it.

This is pretty great and everything but FYI the United States also has a very handsome liberal president-type person and he did this years ago.

Your move, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto.

Mexico Just Recaptured El Chapo, the World’s Most Notorious Drug Lord

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto announced on Twitter Friday that the infamous drug kingpin and expert tunneler Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán had been captured.

“Mission accomplished: we have him,” Nieto tweeted. “I want to inform Mexicans that Joaquín Guzmán Loera has been detained.”

Guzmán was arrested a week before “Chapo: El Escape del Siglo,” a film detailing his historic escape, was set to premiere in up to 300 Mexican theaters.

El Chapo’s most recent escape from a Mexican jail made international headlines last summer because of the incredibly sophisticated and intricate tunnels he used to break free.
