Donald Trump continued his attacks against former Miss Universe winner Alicia Machado Friday morning, unleashing a series of tweets that labeled her “disgusting” and a “con”, and encouraged his supporters to uncover her “sex tape.” The allegation that Machado once starred in a porn film has been debunked by numerous sources.

The smear campaign comes days after the first presidential debate on Monday, when Hillary Clinton said Trump had called Machado “Miss Piggy” to ridicule her appearance. Following the debate, Trump doubled-down on his fat-shaming by calling Machado’s previous “massive” weight gain a “real problem.”

Clinton’s icy relationship with the press corps is really no surprise. What’s surprising is that she’s managed to refrain from smacking them silly. Isn’t it long, long past time for national reporters to cut the crap and stop enabling Donald Trump’s idiot tweets? I know he’s entertaining. But this is a presidential campaign, not Access Hollywood.

Just for the record, here’s what Hillary Clinton was doing today in the wake of the Brussels bombings: talking about combating terrorism at a roundtable in Los Angeles.

And here’s what our Republican presidential hopefuls were doing: in between panicked demands for surveilling Muslim neighborhoods that even the NYPD rolled its collective eyes at, Donald Trump was lobbing juvenile insults at Ted Cruz’s wife and Cruz was calling Trump a “sniveling coward.”

Remind me again: which party is it that takes national security seriously?

In an attempt to showcase a bit of social media savvy—which thus far has been astonishingly lacking—Donald Trump’s campaign stopped by Twitter today to give voters an opportunity to freely query the Republican front-runner using the hashtag #AskTrump.

While the resulting responses didn’t exactly match Trump’s usual penchant for offensive, unfiltered candor, the poorly lit videos did provide a closer glimpse at what a Trump White House and its policies could look like. Take a look at what your future with President Trump may have in store:

America, Donald Trump would like an apology.

Following Sunday’s news that Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman had tunneled out of prison, the GOP candidate unleashed a Tweetstorm in which he claimed the kingpin’s escape vindicated his controversial comments that Mexico sends criminals and rapists to America.

Trump also took a shot at Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton, suggesting that they would meekly negotiate with the drug lord, whereas he would try a mano a mano approach.

The real estate mogul mused that US government would offer citizenship to the on-the-run drug lord.

And Trump seems unfamiliar with the workings of a vacuum cleaner.

Trump said the timing of El Chapo’s escape was almost too good.

It’s worth noting that Trump’s solution to securing the border—building a wall—would do little to deter a drug lord like El Chapo, whose tunneling skills are legendary.
