U.S. on Track to Be the World Leader in Solar Power
The U.S. solar industry is expected to top current world leader, Germany, in solar installations by the end of 2013, reports Climate Progress.
More than 400,000 solar projects are expected to be operational by the end of the year, and the number of installations rose 27 percent compared to last year. More than half of this is because of the rise in residential installations, as solar continues to gain in popularity among homeowners.
Overall, 2013 seemed to be a good year for renewable power. As more individuals and businesses hop on the solar train, we can expect 2014 to be an even better year for renewable power — and the planet. Read more.
